Since yesterday morning the mountains near Cooke City got 2” of new snow, near West Yellowstone got 1”, and elsewhere got zero. Wind has been west-southwest at 15-25 mph with gusts of 30-40 mph. Temperatures are teens to mid-20s F this morning. Today, temperatures will reach high 20s F near Cooke City and West Yellowstone and high 30s F near Bozeman and Big Sky. Wind will increase to 20-35 mph out of the west. Snow is expected late tonight and tomorrow. By morning, 1-2” are possible in the southern half of our forecast area with a trace to 1” elsewhere, and more falling through the day.

In the last 24 hours, 3” of new snow fell in the Taylor Fork and near Cooke City, 1” in Hyalite and Lionhead, with no new snow in the Bridger Range or around Big Sky. Winds are 15-25 mph out of the southwest to northwest, with strong gusts (up to 60 mph in the Bridgers). Gusty southwest to west winds will continue today. Temperatures are in the teens and 20s F this morning and will rise into the high 20s and 30s F this afternoon. Snow flurries will bring less than an inch of new snow to most of the advisory area while Cooke City may see 2-3” accumulate by tomorrow morning.

Since 6 a.m. yesterday, Bridger Bowl received 5” of snow with 1-2” everywhere else. Wind has increased out of the west to northwest and is blowing 15-25 mph with gusts of 30-40 mph (50 mph at Bridger Ridge). Mountain temperatures are in the single digits F. Wind will get stronger during the day, temperatures will rise into the high teens and tonight we can expect 1-2” of snow with Cooke City getting 3-4”. 

The Bridger Range received 5” yesterday and another 7” this morning and it is still snowing hard. Since 6 a.m. yesterday the Big Sky area got 8” of new snow, half of that falling this morning. 2” fell everywhere else. Snowfall will continue this morning with temperatures reaching the high teens. Wind is W-NW at 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-30 mph which will continue today. Snowfall will add another 3-6” in the mountains around Big Sky and Bozeman and 1-2” elsewhere before tapering off this afternoon.

Temperatures this morning are in the low 20s F with 5-20 mph winds from the west to southwest, and it is snowing. The mountains have received 1-3” of new snow so far. Today, temperatures will be in the high 20s F with northwest winds blowing 10-15 mph. Through the day, the mountains around Bozeman and Big Sky will get 3-5” of snow with 1-3” elsewhere. Another round of snowfall will begin early in the morning tomorrow hopefully bumping these totals up.

This morning, mountain temperatures are in the mid-teens to mid 20s F with 10-20 mph winds from the west to southwest, and there is no new snow. Today, temperatures will climb into the low 30s to low 40s F with southwest winds blowing 10-15 mph. Our on-again-off-again relationship with winter will take a turn for the snowier tonight with 3-5” falling by morning in the mountains near Bozeman and Big Sky and 1-2” elsewhere in the advisory area.

This morning there is no new snow. Temperatures are high teens to mid-20s F, and wind has been west-northwest at 10-20 mph with gusts of 25-40 mph. Today will be mostly sunny with temperatures reaching mid-20s to high 30s F and west wind at 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Clouds will increase tonight with the next round of snow on track for late tomorrow evening.

Snowfall yesterday brought 2” to the Bridger Range, 1” near Cooke City, and no new snow in the rest of the advisory area. Temperatures this morning are in the teens F with moderate west and northwest winds. Temperatures today will rise into the high 20s and 30s F under mostly sunny skies. Moderate west and northwest winds will continue. The next chance for snowfall is Monday night.

There is an inch of new snow at Lionhead this morning with no new snow elsewhere. Winds have been blowing 15-25 mph out of the northwest and west with gusts of 40-60 mph. Winds will diminish slightly this morning to 15-20 mph with gusts to 30. Temperatures are in the teens and 20s F this morning and will only rise a few degrees today. A trace to an inch of snow is possible this morning across most of the area, before clouds clear and skies become mostly sunny. There is a chance that Cooke City could see up to 4 inches fall today.

Big Sky is reporting 1-2” of new snow along with an inch in Hyalite and Cooke City. Everywhere else either got missed or received a dusting. Wind remains steady from the W-N averaging 10-20 mph with gusts of 35 mph and 53 mph on the Bridger ridge. Under partly cloudy skies, mountain temperatures are in the mid 20s and will reach above freezing today. Clouds will stream in later today but snowfall will only be a trace to 1” overnight. :(
