McAtee Basin
Saw this slope which frequently slides had been triggered on our way out last night. Slid to the ground but I expect it was mostly new snow was there is a larger old crown visible further uphill. There was a group of riders still playing in the area below the slide. We then observed them Canadian style climb 4 sleds all together up into the bowl to the right of the slide. Clearly not phased by the obvious warning sign. I did see two other small pocket slides yesterday also in new snow on bed surfaces of older slides. Also got some wind slabs to break but no propagation. General snowpack is getting very deep now but a thick junk layer remains at the ground everywhere I dug sleds out.
Otherwise phenomenal riding conditions, everything high and north facing was all time!
